What We Collect

From sign-in: When you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple, or via a one-time email sign-in link, we receive your name and email address. We use these to create and identify your account.

Data you enter: Teams, player names and profiles, game records, batting orders, lineup rules, dietary restrictions and allergies, team chat messages and photos, and any other information you choose to add to the Service.

Device information: If you enable push notifications, we store a device token used only to deliver those notifications to your phone.

Basic usage data: We use a third-party monitoring service to track performance, capture errors, and understand basic usage patterns (such as page load times, JavaScript errors, and which pages are visited). Any email address is automatically stripped out of application logs before they reach this service. Browser-based monitoring on the pages you visit does not include your name or email. We do not use advertising networks or user-tracking services.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve GameCard. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable precautions to protect it, but no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee against unauthorized access, hardware failures, or other unforeseen events, and we are not liable for any resulting loss.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (available from your Profile page), all associated data in our database, teams, players, games, and records, is permanently deleted. Limited records may be kept beyond that for security, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes, and any application logs already sent to our third-party monitoring service age out on that service's own retention schedule, independent of our database.

Third-Party Services

We use Google, Microsoft, and Apple sign-in. Each provider's handling of your information during authentication is governed by their own privacy policy, including Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your password with any of these providers.

We use a third-party monitoring service to help us identify performance issues, errors, and basic usage patterns. Application logs sent to this service have email addresses automatically stripped out before they're transmitted. Browser-based monitoring on the pages you visit is technical and usage data only (such as load times and which pages are viewed), not your name or email. This service is not used for advertising or user profiling.

Children's Privacy

GameCard is intended for use by coaches and parents who are adults. The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Coaches and parents who enter information about minor players are responsible for having appropriate authorization to do so and for compliance with applicable laws.

Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. For any other data requests or concerns, contact us at support@gamecardapp.com.

Cookies

GameCard uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, along with a small number of functional cookies for preferences like theme and timezone. Our third-party monitoring service may set cookies or use browser storage for performance diagnostics. No advertising or user-tracking cookies are used.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
