Rec soccer coaching without the rotation headaches.

Recreational soccer is supposed to be fun for everyone, players and coaches alike. But building a fair rotation for 14 kids every week is the opposite of fun. GameCard handles the position rotation, goalkeeper fairness, and parent communication automatically, so you can focus on actually coaching.

What makes rec soccer different, and harder to manage.

Everyone Plays, Every Game

In recreational soccer, no kid sits the bench for long. Every player rotates through every position. The fairness expectation is higher than in competitive soccer, and much harder to manage by hand across a full season.

Goalkeeper Is a Whole Problem

Deciding who plays goalkeeper every rotation in rec soccer is complicated. Some kids love it. Some kids hate it. Some parents have opinions. Without a system, the same few kids always end up in goal, or you're negotiating it on the sideline every week.

Parents Who Count Minutes

Rec soccer parents aren't always watching who wins. They're watching how much their kid played. Fair playing time is the primary thing they're evaluating you on. GameCard builds rotations you can defend, and lets parents see them.

Fair rotation for every player, every game.

GameCard's algorithm is built to spread positions fairly across your roster. It knows each player's eligibility, rankings, and any performance updates, and uses built-in fairness rules to make sure no player gets locked into the same spot every game.

Bench time is handled too. The algorithm ensures field time stays balanced across the whole team, consistently.

Goalkeeper rotation without the negotiation.

Set which players are willing to play goalkeeper on their profile once, at the start of the season. GameCard tracks how many times each willing player has played GK and always assigns the next rotation to whoever has done it least.

Players who don't want to play goalkeeper are never put in goal. Everyone else rotates through fairly without you having to remember whose turn it is. No more "I played keeper last week" arguments on the sideline.

Works for any rec soccer format.

Rec leagues play all formats, including 5v5 for the littlest kids, 7v7 for the most common age groups, and 9v9 for older players. GameCard supports all of them. Pick your format when you create your team and the right positions are set up automatically.

Use the defaults GameCard provides, or customize the positions freely to match whatever your specific league runs.

Parents see everything. You send nothing.

Add a parent's email to their player's profile once and they're set for the season. They get automatic reminders the morning of every game and practice. They can see the schedule, sign up for snacks, and receive team-wide messages without texting you.

The group chat gets quiet. You start getting fewer questions. When parents know where to be and when, most of the back-and-forth just stops.

My league uses 8v8. Does GameCard support that?
Pick the closest standard format (9v9) and then customize the positions freely. You can add, remove, or rename positions to match your league's setup. The rotation algorithm works with whatever positions you define.
How does GameCard define "fair" for position rotation?
Fair means no player is consistently assigned to the same positions while others rotate freely. GameCard's algorithm weighs each player's rankings and position eligibility against built-in fairness rules to spread positions equitably. It also factors in your player rankings for key positions, so fairness and competitiveness aren't in conflict.
What if I have a player who can only play certain positions?
On each player's profile, you set which position types they're eligible for. If a player can only play defender and midfielder, they're never assigned to forward or goalkeeper. The rotation is built around each player's eligibility settings automatically.
Is GameCard free for rec soccer coaches?
Yes, for now. GameCard is free while we're in early access. Create your team, build your roster, and generate rotation lineups at no cost. No credit card required. That will change as we add features, so getting started now locks in free access before pricing goes live.
